What is the easest way put a Mac like interface on Ubuntu 8.04?
Which software or theams do you need?
does it work and look good?

I have Ubuntu and this version I have doesn’t support my processor so I can’t download programs or make changes. I DON’T have the Windows XP cd and have tried other options. My ONLY option in this problem is to delete Ubuntu using root tunnel (starting Ubuntu with Recovery Mode) I would HIGHLY appreciate someone’s help.

I don’t want to lose Windows XP. I don’t understand the instructions at other sites. Can anybody help?

I asked yesterday how to update the Linux kernel, and I forgot to mention that I do not have Internet access in Ubuntu because of my computer’s Ethernet card not working. I have downloaded on another computer and placed on my computer’s Ubuntu the new Linux kernel files. I just need to install them without using an Internet connection. How can I do this if I have the files in my home directory?

I want my computer to be up and running about 10 minutes before i normally wake up.. I know this is possible in xp but is it possible in Ubuntu.

Also are there multiple desktop environments for windows like there are for Linux systems?

Do I resize the partition for Windows first. What should I do next after resizing?

900MHz processor
128MB RAM
32MB VRAM (i don’t know how much that matters though)

If Ubuntu will run slow on this then what other distro would u recommed?

How do I go about replacing all the wireless NIC drivers used by Intrepid Ibex with the ones used by Hardy Heron? Is it even possible? I know it has something to do with kernel modules, but I don’t know which ones or how to replace them.

I want to save to my hard drive online radio broadcasts that are streamed in Realplayer Audio format. Any ideas please, I can’t see any obvious way it can be done with Audacity, if you know if it can be done with Audacity please let me know how.

Or do I need to use other software.
