How do I replace Firefox 3 (Beta 3) with Firefox 2 on Ubuntu?

I have just installed Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Alpha 4), which is very stable,apart from it comes with Firefox 3 (Beta 3) included as default and is unstable.

What I want to do is replace it with Firefox 2, how can I do this and what order should I do it in.

Step by step if possible please, its the only weakness the rest of it is pukka.

    the forum could probably help you with this

    one way to do it is install firefox 2 with the ubuntuzilla scripts. ubuntuzilla has a section on the ubuntu forums under 3rd party projects. the devs are active there.
