I have just installed Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Alpha 4), which is very stable,apart from it comes with Firefox 3 (Beta 3) included as default and is unstable.
What I want to do is replace it with Firefox 2, how can I do this and what order should I do it in.
Step by step if possible please, its the only weakness the rest of it is pukka.

I get a message from my MONITOR, the same type as if you were to press the monitor’s menu button, that says “out off range?” I can log into ubuntu just fine, i have no trouble there but this monitor problem happens just after the Winxp progress bar finishes loading, it should go to login but instead the screen goes blank and says “Out off range.” The monitor is a Compaq MV720. Any ideas?

I have just started using Ubuntu operating system.
I’m unable to play the songs and videos(mp3,.avi files) which are there in my system,it is showing error code and saying to download plugins for playing the file. Is there a way where i can solve the problem with out using any internet connection ie. download and use type
I didn’t download Ubuntu Linux yet. The reason why and want to download it because I saw a lot of Youtube videos of it and it looked cool. That’s why I’m gonna get a free download of it. But, I’m worried, what if I want to get back to my old Windows XP? Can I?

I have 8.04 installed right now.
I did the apt-get install beryl, and I have the Beryl Settings Manager but I think there is somthing I have to put in a config file so beryl loads at start up but idk what im supposed to do. Help?
