Ubuntu is a free and open source Linux distribution. It has been awarded as being the most user friendly Linux distribution, and it arguably has the most functionality and beauty of all desktop Linux distros. What would be the economic and social benefits to the individual and society? Would there be any disadvantages to its adoption?
Wine seems to be as unreliable as actually using Windows. I tried Applications>Wine>Remove Wine Software and went through the uninstaller dialogs, but a few things remain. I need to get rid of iTunes and a few other things so that I can install an older version of the same stuff that I know works.

i had ubuntu for a while but had some issues. i loved the program with the notes, where you’d type stuff in and you could link them together with other notes and stuff.. it was simple and neat and helpful.. is there a program like that for windows xp so i can write little notes about random stuff? to do lists, projects, upcoming events, etc. that is simple and neat like that?
