I want to put the newest version of ubuntu on my new external hard drive. what do I have to do?

How much disk space do I need to separate on a drive for Linux Ubuntu?

i’m planning on putting ubuntu linux on my ps3, but i don’t have a usb keyboard yet. in the next week or so, i’ll have one, but i was wondering if i could get by with using a mouse and an on-screen keyboard (does ubuntu even have an on-screen keyboard?) until then.
rob- i do have an sdtv. but couldn’t i just change the screen resolution?

I’m running Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon), and I’d like to know before I try buying a scanner.

My Boss is wanting to switch all our company computers to Linux Ubuntu but we dont know if Peachtree is compatible with it or not, and it is a mandatory program for our company.

I tried Ubuntu with my computer and it didn’t really work. I originally installed it through Windows, then uninstalled it. When I start up my computer, it still asks me if I want to run Ubuntu or Windows. When I click on Ubuntu it says it can’t find or run Ubuntu\winulp or something like that. How do I remove this option from my start up?

I want to know which version of Ubuntu I need to run Beryl, and how do I get that version? Preferably, please tell me how to use the Wubi installer with it. Thanks!

i recently got a dell mini laptop. it was the cheapest one for 350 and it is automatically intalled with ubuntu. i didn’t think it would make a difference but now i hate it because i literally can’t download anything that suppports window. would i need a media disk to reprogram it or what?

How do I? I just can’t seem to figure it out…

i am using totem movie player and it says that its need some codec gstreamer plug in and some more i did install them sound work but i cant see the movie ? any tips

and how do i install compiz ..i have remove old stuff and upsated with new using sudo apt-get update what do i do next ?
