Ubuntu

and how do i use it? and will it run all windows apps?

I am pretty computer savvy, but I have no programming experience whatsoever. Does Ubuntu offer a good user experience? My printer isn’t supported by Ubuntu Linux, is there anywhere I could find an alternative driver for it? Is Ubuntu too much of a pain to use as a primary OS? Can I run iTunes in Wine? Thanx in advance.

I need a latex editor for ubuntu environment, do you have a good suggestion?

I have Ubuntu Gutsy and my documents folder is in another partition. I want the default links in PLACES menu (e.g. Documents, Music, Pictures) to point to another folder, instead of the default ‘/home/username/Documents’. How can i do that?

if i delete ubuntu’s partition and enlarge xp’s patiton back to par on my hardrive, will xp load on start up.

I’m using Ubuntu for a while and I’m learning Gnome(the default desktop environment ) well. but i want to use KDE environment beside my gnome and I want to know how can I install KDE. Ubuntu does not support my modem so I don’t have access to internet through Linux.
I have Kubuntu installer cd. so I prefer to find a way to install KDE using Kubuntu cd.

Before I install ubuntu, I want to know how much space on a partition I should allow. I will mostly use it for media (music, videos, etc.) and the internet, among other things. I also want to install all those graphic-oriented programs like Beryl.

I have 126GB of free space on my laptop’s hard drive. So how much should I devote to it?

I have Windows on master hard disk and Ubuntu on the slave on my pc. I tried to browse the hard disk with windows, ubuntu saw the disk but denied access. what should I do?
