I just installed Linux Ubuntu on my computer and am wandering what would be a good anti virus and anti spyware for it.

What book i shud buy for linux ubuntu if i have never work with linux before?
I am trying to develop a software that uses ubuntu or linux real time extensions anybody have any idea where to start?
I did one in windows but it is too slow.
I am currently running Win XP. Well, there’s may layers of it on my PC (I didn’t do that myself, don’t ask why the person did). I have many graphics programs installed, and more images of my art tahn you could shake a mouse at. I prefer to use Ubuntu (Linux type of OS) instead, as it runs smoother and thakes way less memory than XP – not to mention the added benefit of having 1 OS and that’s it. What files can I copy to CD to reinstall after the OS change, what’s the best way to do this, and *can I* copy installed progs to reinstall after? These are progs I no longer have the original disk for, the cd spindle was lost when we moved. Help?
i just got my new mini 9 w/ ubuntu and i live in new jersey…..so when i went through setup, i chose the nearest state to me which isnew york as my time zone however my computer says its 9:28 AM while in new jersey its 3:30 PM…how can i chnage this so its right…….help please
I already have “Wine” and apparently I already installed it, but it does not seem to run.
I want to install it on a 700 MB CD-R to rescue my computer in case of viruses and so on.
So which should I use? Ubuntu or Linux? Where should I download it from?
when i turn on my computer it asks me which operating system or whatever it is i want to boot up. windows home edition or windows professional. how do i make it that it gives me that option for ubuntu. i want it to ask me… windows home edition, windows professional or ubuntu. i havent installed it yet but i will, and how do i back up my data?
is there anything i can install?
