Ubuntu

I just got ubuntu linux 7.04. Now what do I do with the winrar archive? Do I have to extract it then burn it to a CD?
when I extract linux ubuntu i get these things.

I want to run on windows but want the programming benefits that the terminal gives, i don’t really even need gnome. Cygwin does not work as well as I need it to but I am a moron so I might be doing something wrong but don’t know where, but thats not my question. Anyway is there a way to run at least the terminal in windows?

*Cygwin likes to give my my two word windows username which has a space but that is a no no in linux.

I’m thinking about downloading it and am wondering if it takes up a lot of space. Also, is there an easy way to uninstall it? I have windows vista. Can i uninstall it on the vista os?

I get this error that says “No application suitable for automatic installation is available for handling this kind of file”. Is there anything I can do?

I have a computer with no CD-Rom or floppy that I want to use as as a NAS. Can I install Unbuntu on one computer then pull the drive to use on the second computer? Will the drivers adjust automatically to the second system? (the first computer is fairly new and the second is an older PIII system)

I need a boot image for linux ubuntu 8.04 so I can make a bootable disk of that, but if I could get a full tutorial on how to make a bootable disk or a site that has a good one that would be appriciated.

I use Ubuntu 7.10 but my printer is set up on a wireless router controlled by a Windows computer. How do I connect to the printer?
