I want to be able to access NTFS shortcuts from my Windows hard drive on startup instead of them having the blue X on them and me having to open the NTFS media to get them working.
I am already able to do it, but it’s not enabled on start up, I have to open the 52.3GB Media manually before I can use the shortcuts I have already created.
I have two pc’s one has windows on and is connected to the internet, and the other runs Ubuntu Linux and isn’t connected to the internet. I wanted to find a way to install programs on the Ubuntu pc. I can download the files from the windows pc then take them on my memory stick to the Ubuntu pc but I don’t know what to do next???? this is where you come in.
also will I b able to use programs I use on windows such as msn, etc with UBUNTU?

I recently bought a Sylvania full speed 2 gb mp3 player, but when i plug it into my computer (which runs on ubuntu) it fails to recognize that anything is plugged in. I tried installing the drivers that were on the disk that came with the mp3 player but that didn’t seem to do anything.
I have alot of things on windows and i still need them but i want ubuntu too.
