Ubuntu

Hello all,
I was just wondering about Ubuntu Linux.
I have Vista, and i share this computer with my family.
I have my own windows account, but my question is; Can I download Ubuntu Linux Just for my account and still have vista and have it NOT affect anyother accounts? Is there a way i can download ubuntu to an icon, so when i click on the icon the OS takes over? http://www.ubuntu.com/products/WhatIsUbuntu/desktopedition
is ^this a small download for teh idea that i have or what?

I recently dual booted ubuntu and windows vista , now that I have removed ubuntu I have 2 partitions one for windows and the other blank, but for some reason I cant get the space from ubuntu back into the windows one (ubuntu 25gb, windows 49gb) I want to make the windows one 74gb. I have tried alsorts but cannot delete or repartition however I can delete the 25gb in the windows vista disk management the only problem is i do not know what will happen, will it go back into the windows partition or what. All I want is to get the 25gb so that I can use it in windows

i want to know if i install games like NBA2008 for windows will it still run on ubuntu or on kubuntu?

we do a lot of shopping and things on the computer and now we have ubuntu we are not sure how secure it is for shopping and banking and all that kind of thing are there certain things we should install and what do you use to scan your computer.
also i noticed that every user has to install certian programmes themselves like flash player and all that how can i make it so these are installed for every user

If I want to transfer files (like movies, .doc files, mp3s, etc) between my Mac PowerBook and Dell mini with Ubuntu, can I use a flash card or external hard drive? Or will the formatting not work plugging them in?

I haven’t been able to figure it out. Please help. Thanks in advance. Please explain it in a step by step process.

The Situation:
1:) Ubuntu 8.04 installed, with GRUB as bootloader
2:) Vista is installed as a dual-boot, but replaces GRUB with its own bootloader

Question:
How do I use the Ubuntu Live CD to make GRUB the primary bootloader again, while also adding vista to the list of options in GRUB?

I have ubuntu 6.06 and i want to boot the windows xp in the ubuntu grub.

I know bluetooth is popular but most computers i know of don’t come with a bluetooth adapter installed. SO why are there a whole bunch of included programs and services for bluetooth?
