Ubuntu

I installed Ubuntu on my laptop with recently using Wubi. Now, the maximum screen resolution I can get is 800×600. Is there any way I can get anything higher?

I installed ubuntu linux today. Which is amazing btw. Well I installled it on a windows 2k machine. Now that im using ubuntu I dont really want windows dual booted with it. bc windows 2k is horrible. is there anyway I can delete the windows partition without reinstalling?

i recently got a dell mini laptop. it was the cheapest one for 350 and it is automatically intalled with ubuntu. i didn’t think it would make a difference but now i hate it because i literally can’t download anything that suppports window. would i need a media disk to reprogram it or what?

could i get the program called cyberlink powerdirector for it? and if so could i send the videos i make on the windows xp version to the ubuntu computer?
basicly i have a windows xp computer with cyberlink powerdirector if i get i computer with ubuntu and put cyberlink powerdirector on it then could i send a video on the xp computer to the ubuntu computer?

I just really want to play. It’s sort of an old game but I really like it, is there a way to play it on Ubuntu? I already tried Wine but every time I click on it, nothing happens.

I just installed Ubuntu tonight and I was wondering if there is a way to view my windows files from within Ubuntu? Also I need to transfer a file from Windows to Ubuntu in order to set up my modem, so how can I do this without a flash drive or CD?
I have no access to the internet on Ubuntu. I have to install my modem lol

I did not do an ext3 install – I did the NTFS install from the Windows installation that was available for the first time in Ubuntu 8.04. I used to have an ext3 install, with Ubuntu 7.10, and my windows partition was available in Places->Computer. With my installation, the Windows partition is no longer visible.

I have executables for Linux, but I can’t access the installer wizard. It doesn’t open. Are there any more software I need to download for the executable files in order to install them?

Can i Install Ubuntu without any change to my computer if i am running Vista and also will it work if i decide to do a complete install?
